We are now seeking an exceptional Head of Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting to play a pivotal leadership role in driving financial strategy, sustainability, and performance across the University. About the Role This is a senior leadership position within the Finance Directorate, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. You will lead on all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring high-quality insights that inform strategic decision-making at the highest levels. The post is offered on a 14-month fixed-term basis as maternity cover. You will: Lead financial reporting to senior bodies including the University Leadership Team, Finance & Investment Committee, and Council Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Drive financial modelling for major strategic and capital investment initiatives Lead and develop high-performing teams across Financial Reporting, Business Partnering, and Analysis Deliver clear, insightful financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements (e.g. Office for Students, TRAC, HE-BCI) Champion continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes and systems What We’re Looking For We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking finance leader who can operate with autonomy and influence at senior level. You will bring: A recognised professional accounting qualification Significant experience in financial leadership and people management Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting Proven ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders Experience driving change, improving processes, and implementing financial systems A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships Why Join Us?
