<p><strong>Senior Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy </strong><br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Field-based (UK-wide) with HQ support from Essex<br /> <strong>Salary:</strong> £55,000 – £65,000 basic + uncapped commission + car allowance + benefits<br /> <strong>Industry:</strong> Biogas, Energy-from-Waste, Industrial Gases, Process Engineering</p> <p>Are you a commercially driven, technically minded sales professional with experience in renewable energy, gas analysis, or process instrumentation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, privately owned engineering company that values autonomy, innovation, and results.</p> <p>We are recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a company with over 25 years of success in the UK market. The business delivers high-performance engineering solutions to clients in the biogas, energy-from-waste, utilities, and wider industrial sectors.</p> <p>Their systems include gas analysis, H2S desulphurisation, flow control, nitrogen/oxygen generation, and process instrumentation — all essential for supporting decarbonisation and energy transition initiatives.</p> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full ownership of the sales pipeline, from lead generation through to close</li> <li>Selling high-value technical solutions across industrial energy and process sectors</li> <li>Developing new business and growing key accounts nationwide</li> <li>Field-based with flexible UK-wide travel and ongoing support from the Essex-based head office</li> <li>Working closely with technical teams to deliver tailored, consultative solutions</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong B2B technical sales experience, ideally within instrumentation, process systems, or renewable energy</li> <li>Ability to manage the full sales cycle and build long-term client relationships</li> <li>Experience working with energy, utilities, or industrial clients (biogas sector knowledge is a strong advantage)</li> <li>A proactive, self-motivated approach and a strong sense of commercial awareness</li> </ul> <p><strong>What’s on Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>£55,000 – £65,000 basic salary (depending on experience)</li> <li>Uncapped commission structure with strong earnings potential</li> <li>Company car or car allowance</li> <li>Comprehensive support from internal technical and commercial teams</li> <li>Genuine opportunity to make an impact in a growing business at the forefront of the low-carbon sector</li> </ul> <p>If you’re looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and growing part of the energy industry, we’d love to hear from you.
