<p><strong>Salary up to £73,000 | Full-Time | 37.5 Hours</strong></p>
<p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a leadership role within a well-equipped charity hospital in East London This is a fantastic position for a surgically biased vet who enjoys a mix of clinical work and team leadership, with the chance to make a real impact in a purpose-driven environment.</p>
<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<p>You’ll support the Senior Veterinary Surgeon in leading the Vet team, ensuring high standards of clinical care, strong team performance, and a compassionate, client-focused service.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on role combining leadership with clinical duties, offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to shape team culture, clinical standards, and service delivery.</p>
<p><em><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support the Veterinary Surgeon team, including recruitment, coaching, and development
<li>Deliver high standards of clinical care and customer service
<li>Support hospital performance, including budgets, KPIs, and resource planning
<li>Drive a culture of preventative healthcare and client education
<li>Ensure compliance with clinical governance, RCVS standards, and health & safety
<li>Support implementation of projects, policies, and service improvements
<li>Contribute to the VS rota, including a share of weekends
</ul>
<h3><strong>About You</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
<li>Confident with routine and more complex surgical procedures
<li>Strong communicator with leadership or mentoring experience
<li>Comfortable making pragmatic, evidence-based clinical decisions
<li>Organised with the ability to manage team performance and workflow
</ul>

<p>You’ll be based across two modern, well-equipped hospitals in East London, with access to:</p>

<li>Digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy
<li>Dedicated dog and cat wards
<li>Extensive orthopaedic equipment
<li>A highly collaborative and supportive clinical team
</ul>

<li>5 days CPD + £1,000 allowance
