Fitter / Vehicle Body Installation Technician

<p>Our client, a well-established engineering company in Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Fitter / Vehicle Body Installation Technician to join its growing team. This role involves the installation and fitting of lorry-mounted equipment and hydraulic systems for commercial vehicles.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical fitting, hydraulic, electrical, or commercial vehicle experience who are looking for long-term employment with a reputable employer.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><p>Install lorry-mounted loader equipment, hook loaders, and skip loader systems to commercial vehicles</p></li><li><p>Read and interpret engineering drawings and installation manuals</p></li><li><p>Carry out fitting and assembly of hydraulic and 24V electrical components</p></li><li><p>Work efficiently with production schedules and deadlines</p></li><li><p>Ensure all work is completed to a high quality and safety standard</p></li><li><p>Work closely with engineers and production staff to improve installation processes</p></li><li><p>Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment</p></li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><p>Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting or installation role</p></li><li><p>A good understanding of hydraulic and/or 24V electrical systems would be advantageous</p></li><li><p>Ability to read and understand technical drawings</p></li><li><p>Strong teamwork and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship</p></li></ul><h3>Visa &amp; English Language Requirement</h3><p>Applications are welcome from overseas candidates.</p><p>Candidates must:</p><ul><li><p>Hold a valid UKVI IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.5 in all four sections (Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening), <strong>or</strong></p></li><li><p>Be prepared to obtain the required UKVI IELTS qualification before visa processing</p></li></ul><h3>What’s on Offer</h3><ul><li><p>Permanent full-time position</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work with a modern engineering team</p></li><li><p>Supportive working environment in Northern Ireland</p></li></ul>
