Salary: 拢45,000 - 拢55,000 + Benefits
A leading highways and civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support operations across multiple London boroughs.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate is essential for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and is passionate about driving high safety standards across highways, street works and civil engineering projects.
Working closely with operational teams and senior management, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, supporting compliance, and ensuring best practice is consistently delivered across live works.
The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, responsibilities will include:
路Providing practical health & safety guidance and support across operational teams
路Conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
路Supporting the development, review and implementation of RAMS and safe systems of work
路Promoting a strong behavioural safety culture across all levels of the business
路Assisting with investigations relating to accidents, near misses and service strikes
路Supporting legal compliance processes and maintaining H&S records and registers
路Working collaboratively with contracts managers, supervisors and site teams to ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
路Supporting reporting on H&S performance, trends and emerging operational risks
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications
路NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
路NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent desirable
Essential Experience
路Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor position within highways, civil engineering, utilities or street works
路Strong understanding of underground services, excavation safety and service avoidance
路Good working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
路Experience working around Temporary Works and associated controls
路Experience reviewing and improving RAMS
路Proven experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
