Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct-hire Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all electronic systems for the accelerator.
- Contribute to schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for key subsystems.
- Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in lab and field environments.
- Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within our data acquisition systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals
- Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience (or equivalent academic/research experience).
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad) and circuit simulation tools
- Experience working with embedded systems (e.g., RP2040, ARM, STM32, or similar).
- Knowledge of firmware is a bonus.
- Comfortable with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Experience with high-voltage systems, analog/mixed-signal design, or RF.
- Knowledge of best practices for EMC/EMI is a bonus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Salary Range: $120,000-200,000
- Location: Onsite - Alameda, CA
