Audio Visual Project Manager
Location: Twyford Office (Projects Nationwide)
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Additional Hours: Occasional overtime (paid at standard rate)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically minded Project Manager to join our growing AV Integration team. Working within a corporate and commercial environment, you will take ownership of projects from post-sale handover through to final installation and client sign-off.
You will work closely with sales, technical, installation and support teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is a varied role offering a blend of office-based project planning and on-site project management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical coordination and client-facing responsibilities.
You will oversee projects across the UK, managing multiple installations simultaneously, whilst acting as the key point of contact for clients, engineers, fit-out contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of AV integration projects from post-sale handover through to installation, commissioning and client sign-off
- Liaise directly with clients, fit-out companies, engineers and internal departments to ensure successful project execution
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically ranging from £50K–£100K, with larger projects reaching £500K+
- Produce project documentation including RAMS, O&M manuals, installation consumable lists, cable schedules and technical documentation
- Coordinate and oversee on-site installation teams, programmers and engineers, providing technical guidance and support where required
- Determine equipment requirements, installation methodologies and project delivery schedules in collaboration with technical and sales teams
- Monitor project progress, budgets, quality standards and technical performance to ensure successful delivery
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Fundamental understanding of AV system functionality, installation techniques and commissioning processes
- Experience managing AV integration projects within corporate or commercial environments
- Experience commissioning Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and/or Google Meet Room systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities across technical and project-related issues
- Working knowledge of audio DSPs, HDMI and USB signal distribution, switching and AV-over-IP technologies
- Experience with equipment and solutions from manufacturers such as QSC, Biamp, Extron, Crestron and Netgear
- Knowledge of Crestron, Extron and Q-SYS control systems with basic programming capability
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, commissioning reports and technical documentation
- Experience creating RAMS and O&M manuals
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace
- Practical installation experience including equipment mounting, cable termination and system commissioning would be highly advantageous
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience using CAD or similar drawing software (e.g. AutoCAD, StarDraw)
- SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
