School Caretaker

A welcoming primary school in Bristol is looking for a reliable and practical Caretaker to help keep the school site safe, tidy, and running smoothly after the school day ends. Staff work closely together to ensure the school remains a happy and well-maintained place for pupils, families and the wider community. The role You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the school site, helping ensure the environment remains safe, clean and well cared for. Your responsibilities will include: • Locking up school buildings and the site each evening • Carrying out basic maintenance and small repairs around the school • General site upkeep, keeping outdoor and indoor areas tidy and safe • Supporting with routine health and safety checks • Responding to any minor maintenance issues that arise during the day What they’re looking for The school is keen to find someone dependable who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a school community. You’ll ideally have: • Basic maintenance or DIY skills • The ability to work independently and manage daily tasks • A reliable and proactive approach • A friendly, professional manner when working around staff and pupils A DBS check will be required for this role.
