This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and exposure across multiple areas of transactional and month-end accounting. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and Directors, supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations while helping ensure accurate reporting and strong financial controls. You will be responsible for: Maintaining the cashbook and preparing daily banking movement reports Reconciling multiple bank accounts Full responsibility for the purchase ledger, including supplier queries and statement reconciliations Preparing weekly BACS runs and supplier payments, issuing remittances Sales income, commission calculations and reconciliations Aged creditors and debtors reconciliations to the nominal ledger Journals, trial balance reconciliations and month-end support CIS weekly payments and monthly returns VAT returns Staff expenses, petty cash and fixed asset register maintenance Inputting landlord charges and working with the property management system Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers as part of the wider business You’ll also provide cover within the finance team when required and support ad-hoc projects as the business continues to grow.
