<p><strong>Role:</strong> Quality Technician</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate</p><p><strong>Working Hours: </strong>Mon-Fri, 8:30am till 5pm. 40 hours per week <span>(Office Based)</span></p><p>We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team in Knutsford. We’re a profitable, privately owned, and fast-moving company looking for talented individuals to join our team and deliver our strategic objectives.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Resolve material certification issues identified by the certificate checking team with Suppliers/Stockist/Test House/Mill in a timely manner. This could be missing, or incorrect, information and poor-quality copies.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with the Engineering and Quality departments for further guidance relating to certification queries.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Advise/assist suppliers on material certificates and specifications, providing training where necessary.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Conduct witness testing of products at test houses, ensuring that they comply with the relevant company and customer specific quality standards.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of quality policies.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Conduct internal quality management system audits and product and process audits.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Support the receipt, recording, investigation and analysis of customer returned products (e.g. CAR’s & 8D’s).</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Support the Supplier Development Engineer with the management of the supply chain, including performance review visits, supplier audits and raising and monitoring corrective action reports (CAR’s) where required.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as procedures, work instructions, quality alerts and forms.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Investigate instances of product and process failure and conduct effective root cause analysis- implement robust corrective actions with proven problem-solving techniques such as 8D and 5Y.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;">Knowledge of quality testing methods</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Proficient in Microsoft Office</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">GCSE min Grade 4 or equivalent in Maths and English</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Experience in interpreting engineering material standards</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, API</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Familiarity with quality methodologies</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Reliability and a detail-oriented approach.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Be a pro-active team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNormal">Have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>What’s On Offer?</strong></p><ul><li><p style="text-align:justify;">A competitive salary.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Access to an Employee Assistance Programme, offering free and confidential support.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">A company pension scheme to help you plan for the future.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Medical cash plan benefits, covering essential healthcare costs such as dental treatment, check-ups, optical care, physiotherapy, and more.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Training opportunities to support your career development.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Long service awards, recognising your continued commitment.</p></li><li><p class="MsoNoSpacing">Increased annual leave based on length of service.</p></li></ul><p><span></span>Hours of work are 40 hours over Monday to Friday, 8:30am till 5pm.</p>
