Are you ready to take the lead and shape the future of a busy conveyancing team?

We are working with a long-established and well-regarded West Yorkshire firm, based in Otley, who are looking to appoint a confident and experienced Residential Property Solicitor to head up their conveyancing department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior conveyancer or solicitor to step into a leadership role, take ownership of an active caseload, and play a key part in the department’s continued success and future growth.

The Role

You’ll lead the firm’s residential conveyancing function, overseeing a varied caseload while providing strategic input into the team’s development. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and work closely with the practice’s wider leadership team.

Typical matters include:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

• Transfers of equity and remortgages

• New builds, right to buy, and shared ownership

• Title checks and resolving complex issues

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage files while helping to shape systems, supervise junior staff, and drive forward best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing a caseload of residential property matters

• Leading and supporting the conveyancing team

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

• Building relationships with local agents, brokers, and clients

About You

• A qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or legal executive with 6+ years' experience in residential property

• Confident running files independently from instruction to post-completion

• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
