Early Years Teaching Assistant - Preston

About the role:
Justteachers is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is looking for a long term role in a Primary school in the Preston area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Support children’s learning through play-based activities
• Assist with phonics and early literacy development
• Encourage social, emotional and cognitive development
• Support outdoor learning and exploration activities
• Observe and record children’s progress
• Prepare engaging EYFS learning environments
• Assist with personal care where required
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Support safeguarding and welfare requirements
• Work closely with teachers and parents

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous UK primary school EYFS experience essential
• Understanding of the EYFS Framework
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
