<p>Wirtgen Operator – Birmingham – £27.64 per hour <br />VGC Group are currently recruiting for experienced Wirtgen Operators to join a long-term project in Birmingham, starting 01/06/2026. This is an excellent opportunity offering up to 2 years’ work for the right candidate. <br />Role Details </p>
<p>Position: Wirtgen Operator <br />Location: Birmingham <br />Rate: £27.64 per hour <br />Hours: 07:30am – 5:30pm <br />Contract Type: PAYE (Contract of Employment) </p>
<p>Requirements </p>
<p>Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Wirtgen machinery (e.g. 240i) <br />Valid CPCS or NPORS ticket for Wirtgen / Road Planer <br />CSCS Card </p>
<p>Key Responsibilities </p>
<p>Operate Wirtgen machines (e.g. 240i road planer / stabiliser) safely and efficiently <br />Carry out road planing, stabilisation, or mixing operations as required <br />Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery <br />Work closely with site managers and groundworks teams <br />Follow all health & safety procedures at all times <br />Ensure accurate and efficient material removal or mixing operations <br />Maintain awareness of surrounding site activity and conditions <br />Assist with general site duties where required <br />Report equipment defects or safety concerns immediately <br />Support the team in achieving project deadlines </p>
