<p><strong>Role:</strong> Workshop Operative</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate</p><p><strong>Working Hours: </strong>Mon-Fri, 8:30am till 5pm. 40 hours per week</p><p>We’re on the lookout for a workshop operative to join our team in Knutsford. We’re a profitable, privately owned, and fast-moving company looking for talented individuals to join our team and deliver our strategic objectives.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing as a Workshop Operative</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assembling valves from machined components</p></li><li><p>Carrying out basic functional testing</p></li><li><p>Helping out with general workshop tasks like packing and dispatch</p></li><li><p>Supporting other processes such as NDT when needed</p></li><li><p>Working towards daily targets as part of a team</p></li><li><p>Keeping your workspace clean, safe, and organised</p></li></ul><p>No two days are exactly the same, and as a workshop operative, you’ll be right at the heart of what we do.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong><br>We’re not expecting you to know everything from day one—full training is provided for every workshop operative. That said, it would be great if you:</p><ul><li><p>Have some assembly or fitting experience (helpful, but not essential)</p></li><li><p>Are reliable and take pride in your work</p></li><li><p>Have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team</p></li><li><p>Are keen to learn and get stuck in as a workshop operative</p></li><li><p>Have basic numeracy, literacy, and communication skills</p></li></ul><p><strong>What’s On Offer?</strong></p><p>Here’s what you can expect as a workshop operative with us:</p><ul><li><p>Starting at £13.20 per hour, increasing to £13.50 per hour after probation + discretionary annual bonus</p></li><li><p>Overtime opportunities at x1.5 your hourly rate</p></li><li><p>Guaranteed hours in a clean low risk environment (no overnight or rotating shifts)</p></li><li><p>Annual leave starting at 31 days a year (includes bank holidays)</p></li><li><p>Great benefits including: pension (you put in 5%, we put in 4%), cash plan to reimburse you for medical expenses (dental, optical, physio and more), retailer discount platform, Life Assurance ("Death in Service"), long service awards, and Employee Assistance Programme</p></li><li><p>Training opportunities including apprenticeships and college courses available</p></li></ul>
