North Charleston, SC Radiologic Technologist / Medical Assistant (Urgent Care) Contract Opportunity
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) who is also comfortable supporting Medical Assistant duties in a busy Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care clinic in North Charleston, SC.
This is a full-time, weekday contract opportunity with a fast onboarding timeline — ideal for Rad Techs who enjoy variety, fast-paced outpatient care, and working as a key part of a strong clinical team.
Schedule & Start Timeline:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 1-hour break daily
- Start: Candidates must be able to begin within 2 weeks of confirmation
Role Breakdown:
This is a dual-function position requiring comfort in both areas:
- 40% Radiology (X-Ray)
- 60% Medical Assistant support (physicals & injury care)
Key Responsibilities – Radiology:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and explain the exam process
- Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms
- Position patients properly to obtain accurate diagnostic images
- Operate radiologic equipment following established safety standards
- Use radiation safety measures and protective devices at all times
- Ensure all imaging workflows and reports cross correctly into the EMR
- Maintain equipment calibration, QA/QC documentation, and record keeping
- Report equipment issues promptly to clinic leadership
Key Responsibilities – Medical Assistant Duties:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Support occupational health physicals and workplace injury visits
- Assist providers with minor procedures and clinic workflows
- Ensure patient comfort and efficient throughput in a high-volume setting
Required Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification
- Active SC state license (or ability to obtain quickly)
- CPR / BLS certification
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a fast-paced urgent care or occupational health setting
- Comfort working independently while supporting a team-based environment
- Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer confirmation
