About the Role

<strong>Job: Operations Team Member</strong><br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Erdington Birmingham<br><strong>Shifts:</strong> Sunday to Thursday and Monday to Friday ROTATING <br><br> Hours :06:00-14:00 <br><br>We are looking for motivated and reliable Operations Team Members to join our state-of-the-art Central Logistics Centre in Birmingham.<br><br>This is a multi-skilled warehouse role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring healthcare and pharmaceutical products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working within a highly automated environment, you'll support the delivery of essential medicines and healthcare products to customers across the UK.<br><br>If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and are committed to delivering high standards, we'd love to hear from you.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><br><ul><li>Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders using warehouse management systems and automated technology.<br><br></li><ul><li>Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.<br><br></li><li>Receive, store and move stock within the warehouse while maintaining product quality and compliance standards.<br><br></li><li>Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.<br><br></li><li>Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to process stock movements.<br><br></li><li>Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.<br><br></li><li>Operate Material Handling Equipment where trained and authorised.<br><br></li><li>Support warehouse productivity targets and KPIs.<br><br></li><li>Identify and report operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.<br><br></li><li>Follow all health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.<br><br></li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.<br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>What We're Looking For</strong><br><br><strong>Essential Skills & Experience</strong><br><br><ul><li>Flexible and positive attitude towards work.<br><br></li><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.<br><br></li><li>Good problem-solving skills.<br><br></li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br><br></li><li>Good verbal communication skills.<br><br></li><li>Basic literacy and numeracy skills.<br><br></li><li>Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking and manual handling.<br><br></li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts to meet operational requirements.<br><br></li><li>Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.<br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>Desirable Skills & Experience</strong><br><br><ul><li>Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment.<br><br></li><ul><li>Experience using Warehouse Management Systems.<br><br></li><li>Knowledge of automated warehouse technologies.<br><br></li><li>FLT, Reach Truck, Counterbalance or PPT licences, preferably.<br><br></li><li>Understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.<br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>What You'll Receive</strong><br><br><ul><li>Full training and ongoing development opportunities.<br><br></li><ul><li>The opportunity to work within a modern, highly automated logistics operation.<br><br></li><li>Career progression opportunities within a global healthcare organisation.<br><br></li><li>A supportive team environment focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.<br><br></li></ul></ul>
