About the Role

About the Role: Responsible for mortgage loan servicing, customer service, collections, payment processing, and maintenance request management. Works effectively in a high-volume environment with competing priorities and established deadlines. Handles assigned responsibilities in accordance with multiple investor requirements, including FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, RD, and Columbia Bank portfolio loans. Requires knowledge of mortgage lending documents, investor guidelines, and servicing procedures. Performs complex and specialized assignments with a high degree of independence and sound judgment. Performs mortgage loan servicing and support activities, including outbound collection calls, inbound calls, voicemail management, mail and email correspondence, and maintenance request processing. Processes mortgage loan payments by phone while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. Documents all collection efforts, customer interactions, and servicing activities in the system of record. Effectively manages time, priorities, and workload while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Demonstrates the ability to successfully multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and adapt to changing business needs while meeting service-level expectations and deadlines. Assists with complex or escalated customer issues and supports team members in problem resolution. Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency, quality, and error reduction. Collaborates with coworkers and management to identify solutions and improve processes. Participates in frequent in-person meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional projects to support team collaboration and cross-training efforts. Demonstrates compliance with all applicable banking regulations and job-specific requirements, maintaining current knowledge of regulatory changes. Follows all Bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements and completes all required annual and job-specific training. Maintains a working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures related to the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations. May coach, mentor, train team members, or serve as a subject matter expert when needed. Actively demonstrates and promotes Columbia’s corporate culture through daily actions and interactions. Takes initiative, exercises accountability, and serves as a positive example for others. Supports Columbia’s vision of becoming the “Business Bank of Choice.” Performs other duties as assigned. About You: H.S Diploma/GED (preferred) 2-4 years — of experience in banking, loan servicing or equivalent experience. (Required) Possess working knowledge of Mortgage loans, function/department, regulations, policies and procedures. Demonstrated advanced math, analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills. Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency of computer software including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems and other office equipment. Ability to trouble shoot and determine best work flow practices Ability to work in a service oriented environment with high work volumes and deadlines. Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills. The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $28.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
