SALARY GUIDE: CIRCA £30K + 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays + Pension Contribution + Death in

HOURS: ROTATING SHIFT PATTERN - (40HRS) - THERE IS FLEXIBILITY ON HOURS
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 6am till 2pm
Week 2: Monday to Friday - 10am till 6pm
Our client is a privately owned BRC accredited carton manufacturer based in the North of England. They sell into a range of markets including finance, FMCG, manufacturing, communications, cosmetic, beauty, household, DIY, and pet care markets.
They are currently looking for an experienced Apple Mac Operator / CAD-CAM Operator to support the daily MAC based production and assist with the design, planning and pre-press tasks. You will be using Fuji XMF Software for workflow and job processing, as well as carrying out basic CAD designs and planning using Arden Software or similar CAD/CAM tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Fulfill daily Apple Mac operations supporting design, pre-press and production workflows
Process and manage jobs using Fuji XMF and Phoenix Planning software
Create, edit and manage CAD designs for packaging layouts and tooling using Arden or similar CAD/CAM software
Assist with planning and preparing design files for production and manufacturing
Ensure accuracy of artwork, dimensions and technical specifications
Work closely with Design, Production and Planning teams to meet job needs and deadlines
Troubleshoot basic software or file issues on Mac systems
Maintain organised records of job files, versions and revisions
Follow company quality standards, procedures and workflow processes
Requirements:
Proficiency in Apple Mac OS and Mac-based production workflows
Experience using Fuji XMF software, or the ability to quickly learn new workflow systems
Basic to intermediate knowledge of CAD/CAM design and planning
Experience with Arden Impact software or similar CAD tools such as ArtiosCAD
Understanding of technical drawings, layouts and design specifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organisational skills
Experience in a similar role such as Mac Operator, CAD Operator, or Pre-Press Operator
Experience within printing, packaging, manufacturing, or pre-press environments would be advantageous
Diploma or certification in Graphic Design, CAD/CAM, Printing Technology, or a related field preferred
Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
Quick learner with a problem-solving mindset
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
