Quantum Scholars is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton in their search for an inspiring and dedicated Sociology Teacher to join their team from January 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured Sociology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with the national curriculum

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive

  • Develop students' critical thinking, analytical, and debating skills

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and departmental success

  • Take an active role in school life, including pastoral care and extra-curricular opportunities

Requirements

  • A degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification

  • A genuine passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in learners

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Proven experience teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4
