About the Role
<p><span>Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience </span><u>Heavy Equipment Operator </u><span>to join our GROWING team in Erie, Colorado.</span></p><p></p><p><u>PAY:</u></p><p><span>• $24 per hour. Working 50-55 hours a week. We work in an environment where empowered, self-directed All-stars know what they do is important.</span></li><li><span>INTEGRITY: Our definition is “saying what you will do and then doing it!” We keep our promises to our customers and our employees. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><u>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u><b>:</b></p><p><span>•Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor</span></p><p><span>•Spreading daily cover using a Dozer</span></p><p><span>•Excavating soil using a excavator</span></p><p><span>•Maintaining haul roads using a grader</span></p><p><span>•Hauling soil</span></p><p><span>•Work in a fast paced, team environment</span></p><p><span>•Follow safe operating practices</span></p><p><span>•Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service</span></p><p></p><p><u>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:</u></p><p><span>•Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.</span></p><p><span>•The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
