About the Role

We're looking for a Pricing and Cost Analyst to join our Data & Operations team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and optimizing our pricing strategy while managing the cost economics of our LLM-powered platform. You'll analyze usage patterns, model cost structures, and design pricing frameworks that balance customer value with sustainable unit economics. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of operations, product, and engineering infrastructure. You'll own the modeling for our credit-based pricing system, forecast LLM costs, and provide strategic insights that guide both pricing decisions and cost optimization initiatives. You'll work closely with engineering, product, sales, and leadership to ensure our business model scales efficiently. Key Responsibilities LLM Cost Management Monitor and forecast costs across multiple LLM providers and model tiers Analyze usage patterns to identify cost optimization opportunities Build models to predict infrastructure costs based on product usage and growth scenarios Partner with engineering to implement cost-efficient serving strategies Pricing Strategy & Analysis Design and refine credit-based pricing models that align with customer value and usage patterns Conduct competitive pricing analysis within the AI/developer tools space Model different pricing tiers and packaging options to optimize conversion and retention Analyze price elasticity and willingness-to-pay across customer segments Financial Modeling & Forecasting Build comprehensive financial models linking usage metrics to revenue and cost Create scenario analyses for different pricing and cost structures Forecast gross margins and unit economics across customer cohorts Cross-functional Partnership Translate complex cost and pricing analyses into actionable recommendations for leadership Work with Product to understand feature development impact on costs Collaborate with Sales to develop pricing proposals for enterprise customers Partner with Data team to ensure accurate tracking of usage and cost metrics Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in pricing analysis, cost accounting, FP&A, or related operations roles Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel/Google Sheets SQL skills for data analysis and cost attribution Experience with LLM costs, API pricing, or cloud infrastructure economics preferred Understanding of credit-based or consumption pricing models highly valued Familiarity with SaaS metrics and B2B software business models Experience in the AI/ML or developer tools space a plus
