CNC Mill Machinist Wage: $28.00 – $35.00/hr. + DOE CNC Mill Machinist Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM SUMMARY: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, meeting cycle times, promoting on-time delivery through their performance efforts, demonstrating knowledge and application of lean manufacturing, promoting teamwork through their behavior, acting in accordance with Company Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations as defined by management. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Follows the procedures established in the work instructions or by the Supervisor(s) and/or Lead(s) <li>Follows prescribed standards of CNC Lathe operations and set-ups of established processes <li>Pays strong attention to detail, exhibits critical thinking skills and meets the cycle times set forth <li>Takes an active role in organizing and improving current processes through SWI change suggestions <li>Is proactive in maintaining established company policies and manufacturing strategies <li>Sets up equipment to run production and/or prototype parts according to blueprints <li>Develops new work instructions for prototype parts <li>Troubleshoots processes, programs, equipment and tooling <li>Performs shop floor programming and editing of CNC programs to maintain product quality <li>Inspects product according to Company Quality Policies and Procedures <li>Builds and maintains positive rapport, communication and behavior with other employees, customers and/or suppliers <li>Adapts and modifies as circumstances warrant <li>Demonstrates safe work habits <li>Embraces Company Quality Policy to ensure quality to internal and external customers <li>Embraces Company vision, core values, and expected behaviors </ul> FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES: <ul> <li>Completes end-of-shift tie-in log and accurately enters part and scrap counts into Paperless </ul> QUALIFICATIONS: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED <li>CNC Machining Certificate preferred <li>Minimum of 7 years in CNC Lathe setup and machining <li>Experience with various machine tool controls (G-M Codes & Mazatrol a plus) <li>Quality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in designated responsibilities <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills <li>Ability to accurately read blueprints <li>Skilled with portable measuring devices <li>Must be able to read and comply with work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written materials <li>Working knowledge of GD&T and calculating <li>Working knowledge of mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning <li>Knowledge and skills to pre-stage raw material, perform setups, conduct tool changes, run product and make tool off-sets for proven processes <li>Must have a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform set-ups </ul> Why Choose Atlas Staffing?
