About the Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced, friendly and organised live in housekeeper to join a warm and busy family of five in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. This is primarily a term-time position, ideal for someone looking for work during the school term. There is potential for the role to be extended to a permanent, year-round position for the right candidate. The family have 3 children aged 15, 13 and 8, along with one much-loved family dog. They are looking for someone who is confident managing a busy household, enjoys being around children and is happy to become a trusted and valued part of family life. The role is varied and hands-on combining full housekeeping, laundry, cooking and family assistance, as well as helping with school runs and the children’s day to day routines. Responsibilities may include: Take responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping of the family home. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the property. Manage laundry, ironing and general clothing care. Change and make the children’s beds. Keep household areas tidy and well organised. Take responsibility for household tasks and use initiative to ensure the home runs smoothly. Work alongside the family and any other household staff as required. Prepare healthy, fresh and family friendly meals. Prepare breakfast for two of the children before school. Assist with general food preparation and kitchen Help with school drop offs and pick ups. Candidate Requirements: Previous professional housekeeping experience, preferably within a private family home. Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness. Strong organisational and time management skills. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently. A warm, friendly and approachable personality. Good cooking skills and confidence preparing family and children’s meals. A full and clean driving licence with confidence driving in the countryside. Comfortable around dogs. Reliability, discretion and professionalism. Accommodation: A two-bedroom annex situated separately from the main family home. Hours: 8.30am – 6.30pm, with 1.5-hour lunch break. One overnight stay per week when a parent travels to London. Flexibility needed during school holidays Start Date: As soon as possible Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
