The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems critical to feed manufacturing, including but not limited to grinding, batching, pelleting, and material handling equipment.<br><br>This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.<br><br>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotic, and hydraulic systems<br><br>Maintain and repair feed mill equipment including but not limited to:<br>Hammer mills / grinders<br><br>Pellet mills<br><br>Conveyors (drag, screw, bucket elevators)<br><br>Mixers and batching systems<br><br><br>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime<br><br>Diagnose equipment failures using meters, diagnostic tools, and PLC interfaces<br><br>Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) and ensure all work is performed safely<br><br>Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals<br><br>Work cross-functionally with operations to prioritize and execute repairs<br><br>Document work completed in CMMS (e.g., MaintainX)<br><br><br>REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE<br>Demonstrated experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems up to 480V<br><br>Experience with:<br>Motors, VFDs, starters, and control circuits<br><br>Bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, and alignment<br><br><br>Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment<br><br>Ability to independently diagnose and repair equipment failures with minimal supervision<br><br>Welding and fabrication experience (preferred)<br><br>Experience in feed mill, grain handling, or similar bulk material environment strongly preferred<br><br>Familiarity with dust hazard awareness (NFPA standards) is a plus<br><br>Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation<br><br><br>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<br>18 years or older<br><br>3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, feed, grain, or similar environment<br><br>Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, heights, and confined spaces<br><br>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills<br><br>Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed<br><br><br>CORE COMPETENCIES<br>Safety-first mindset – zero compromise on safety standards<br><br>Ownership & accountability – sees issues through to completion<br><br>Urgency in downtime response – understands production impact<br><br>Team collaboration – works effectively with operations and leadership<br><br><br><br>Nothing in this job description restricts the management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.<br><br>Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Grade:</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Prod
