Science Teacher - Leamington

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Leamington from September on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to spark curiosity, strengthen scientific understanding, and support pupils in making strong progress across the Science curriculum.

You’ll join a supportive team within a school that has clear behaviour expectations and a strong focus on high-quality teaching. The role involves teaching Science across the secondary age range, helping pupils build confidence in biology, chemistry, and physics through engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach engaging Science lessons aligned with the UK curriculum.
• Develop a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning, curiosity, and scientific enquiry.
• Use practical activities, demonstrations, and creative teaching methods to make scientific ideas accessible and engaging.
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, adapting lessons to support a range of abilities.
• Work closely with colleagues to support curriculum planning, pupil progress, and wider school life.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering Science lessons within a UK secondary school setting.
• Secure subject knowledge across the Science curriculum, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
• Two relevant references, preferably from an educational setting.
