About the role: Justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a full time, long-term position starting in September 2026 at a welcoming primary school in the Accrington area. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to deliver high-quality teaching and support, helping children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Key Skills and Attributes: • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum for Year 2 pupils • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and identify next steps in learning • Prepare pupils for end of KS1 assessments while maintaining a positive learning experience • Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and achievement • Differentiate learning activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues • Promote high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development Pre-requisites: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification • Recent experience teaching within KS1, preferably Year 2 • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment practices • Excellent classroom management and communication skills • Enhanced DBS clearance If you are interested in this role, please apply via the form below.
