<h2>Role Summary</h2>
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Mechanical Design / Drafter</strong> to support mechanical test equipment, fixtures, assemblies, and related hardware used in aerospace and defense environments.</p>
<p>This role is responsible for creating and maintaining <strong>2D drawings, 3D CAD models, technical data packages, and engineering documentation</strong> that support design, manufacturing, production, and test activities.</p>

<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Create and revise 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and mechanical layouts.</li>
<li>Develop detailed mechanical drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, notes, and manufacturing details.</li>
<li>Support technical data packages, drawing packages, and engineering documentation updates.</li>
<li>Update drawings and models based on engineering changes, design reviews, and configuration updates.</li>
<li>Apply CAD modeling standards and drafting best practices to ensure clear, accurate, and manufacturable designs.</li>
<li>Work with engineering teams to clarify design intent and improve drawing quality.</li>
<li>Support mechanical design for test fixtures, interface hardware, equipment layouts, packaging, and support structures.</li>
<li>Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.</li>
<li>Support documentation through design, review, release, and revision cycles.</li>

<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.</li>
<li>2+ years of mechanical design, CAD drafting, product documentation, or engineering support experience.</li>
<li>Experience creating and revising mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models.</li>
<li>Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo, Pro/E, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.</li>
<li>Experience developing dimensioned detail drawings, assemblies, and design documentation.</li>
<li>Familiarity with drawing standards, manufacturing documentation, and technical data packages.</li>
<li>Experience maintaining drawings through review cycles, engineering changes, and revision updates.</li>
<li>Understanding of CAD modeling best practices and controlled design revisions.</li>
<li>U.S. Citizenship required.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.</li>

<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Active Secret clearance.</li>
<li>Creo / ProE experience.</li>
<li>Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, or tolerance analysis.</li>
<li>Experience with mechanical test equipment, fixtures, tooling, lab hardware, or production-support hardware.</li>
<li>Exposure to mechanical packaging, electronic packaging, chassis design, enclosures, or equipment layouts.</li>
<li>Experience creating full drawing packages or technical data packages.</li>
<li>Familiarity with configuration management, engineering change processes, or document control.</li>
<li>Exposure to model-based design, model-based definition, or model-based engineering.</li>
<li>Internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience in mechanical design, drafting, CAD modeling, or production support.</li>
<li>Experience working with manufacturing, production, test, or assembly teams.</li>
</ul>
