About the Role
About the role: A specialist setting in Ely is looking for a full-time SEMH Practitioner to start ASAP. The provision supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, focusing on building resilience, improving behaviour, and re-engaging learners through structured, nurturing support. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom. Support learning by adapting tasks, encouraging engagement, and reinforcing positive behaviours. Use strategies to manage behaviour, support emotional regulation, and de-escalate challenging situations. Build positive relationships to help pupils feel secure, understood, and motivated to learn. Pre-requisites: Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and emotional support strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and resilience in challenging environments. Relevant qualifications or experience in education, youth work, or care settings.
