The Role
You will be working with secondary-aged students within a specialist SEMH setting, supporting pupils who require a personalised, nurturing and consistent approach to education.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging lessons that are adapted to meet individual learning needs
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education
Support students academically, socially and emotionally
Create a safe and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and the wider pastoral team
This role offers the chance to join a developing provision where your experience, ideas and passion can genuinely influence outcomes.
There is potential for the successful candidate to take on additional responsibilities, including:
Pastoral leadership
Curriculum development and subject leadership
Supporting improvements across the provision
Progressing into a permanent role for the right person
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds QTS or has significant relevant teaching experience
Has experience working with SEMH/SEN pupils, or is confident adapting learning to support students with additional needs
Can build excellent relationships while maintaining high expectations
Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
Has a subject specialism they can bring to the wider curriculum
Is ambitious, reflective and committed to their own professional development
Early Career Teachers with the right experience, mindset and passion for SEMH education are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
