Salary: £27,500 – £33,500

About the Opportunity
A well-established, employee-focused organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager as part of a friendly and professional finance team, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting and supporting key business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Produce and maintain regular cash flow forecasts
  • Carry out monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyse reports for budget holders
  • Support with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
  • Post financial transactions using accounting systems (including Sage)
  • Generate reports from internal costing systems
  • Provide support with purchase ledger processes as required
  • Contribute to system improvements and ongoing finance projects

About You
  • AAT qualified or currently studying (or qualified by experience)
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
