Job Description:

St. Margaret Catholic Elementary School is looking to hire a full time Second Grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  The teacher will be responsible for all core subjects as well as sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons in core subjects: Religion, Math, Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies. Experience with Fundations is preferred.

• Model and promote Catholic values and teachings in daily interactions

• Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records

• Post grades in a timely manner on FACTS

• Communicate effectively with parents on a regular basis through conferences, reports and updates

  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master's Degree is a plus)

• Valid teaching certification (preferred)

• Practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholic teachings and willingness to support SMS mission

• Experience working with elementary-aged children
