This position offers a structured weekday clinic schedule with strong clinical support and the opportunity to provide essential infectious disease consultation and patient management. Opportunity Overview Specialty: Infectious Disease Start Date: 2026-05-01T00:00:00+00:00 Duration: Ongoing / Contract-Based Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Call: No call required Practice Setting Facility Type: Outpatient Clinic with Inpatient Consultation Department: Infectious Disease Patient Volume: 20-30 patients per day EMR: Cerner Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with infectious diseases in clinic and consultative settings Provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning for infectious conditions Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, and specialty teams Support infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives Additional Clinical Experience: Microscopic specimen evaluation, Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents, Diagnostic/Therapeutic taps (not specified below): Aspiration of abscess Patient Population Adult patient population requiring infectious disease consultation, management of complex infections, and antimicrobial therapy oversight. Support Structure Clinical Team: Hospitalists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary medical teams Collaborative consultative care environment Candidate Requirements Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease Licensure: Active & unrestricted IN medical license or IMLC eligible BLS Certification required DEA Certification required Core Clinical Skills: Management of vascular access devises/central venous catheters Why This Opportunity?
