About the Role This role sits within the Enterprise Data Platform & Services (EDPS) team which is part of wider Digital Business Solutions (DBS) group, who provide the platforms and capabilities to enable data analytics in the enterprise. The role will be based in Chennai, India working with local and global colleagues. As well as working with the core business systems teams this role will require wider business stakeholder interaction. Responsibilities Your key accountability and responsibilities: Platform developer experience for consumers of the platforms (inc. extending self-service capabilities, providing subject matter expertise and providing governance oversight) Operating our data and analytics platforms (inc. platform integrations, administration, patching, infrastructure optimisation, etc.) Platform performance and stability (inc. continuous improvement, production issue ownership and resolution, service optimisation and documentation) Your most important qualities: A passion for analytics platforms and enabling self-serve business capabilities An appreciation and understanding of how to work in a technical team that both develops and supports highly used business systems A drive to deliver value by solving both business and technical problems Self-motivated, with a desire to understand data and analytics and learn new tools and techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both business and technology stakeholders Requirements Recommended experience: Direct experience (4+ years) of data and analytics platform (or similar) development, operation, support and integration (e.g. Tableau Cloud and Bridge, Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, Collibra Data Catalogue, Azure Cloud SCIM, etc.) Experience operating in a modern Cloud-first environment based on AWS (Linux) with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and levering key services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Github, etc. Experience of key cloud, data and analytics languages (e.g. Python, SQL, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.) Experience of using AI models like Claude, ChatGPT as a developer to leverage faster delivery Experience of practicing modern Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban or similar) Experience of building Tableau Extensions (e.g. using Node.js/HTML) Way that Works for You We promote a healthy work-life balance across the organization.
