We are seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily operations in a refrigerated food-processing facility that serves the retail and food-service industry.
- Pay: $24/hr
- Location: Des Moines
- Schedule: 7:00 AM start time
- Days Off: Sunday & Wednesday
Key Responsibilities
- Line setup — Prepare production lines for efficient operation, assign workstations, and train staff.
- Sanitation oversight — Ensure equipment and production areas are cleaned during breaks, product changes, and shutdowns.
- Safety compliance — Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Food processing — Work alongside the team in chopping, slicing, weighing, and packaging food items.
- Quality monitoring — Check products for freshness, color, shape, temperature, and size specifications.
- Inventory accuracy — Use technology to track inventory and document production processes.
- Problem solving — Address issues quickly and communicate discrepancies to supervisors.

Qualifications
- Ability to store, label, and date incoming food products for maximum shelf life.
- Comfortable using technology for documentation and inventory tracking.
- Able to work independently and lead a team effectively.
- Experience in food production or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (34–37°F).
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs frequently.
