Our organization is a rapidly expanding orthopedic practice with over 15 locations throughout Connecticut and New York. We have won numerous awards for patient care and are a leading providing of orthopedic care in the Northeast. As the Orthopedic Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner, you would be working with a supportive team of physicians, NP’s, PA’s, and medical assistants. You would have an opportunity to work in our outpatient clinic doing pre-operative and post- operative care and doing 1st assist during surgery at the hospital. This is a full time permanent opportunity with full benefits included. This position would be Monday through Friday working 40 hours per week. Please see job highlights below for more information.</p> <p>Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner<br /> Location: Poughkeepsie NY<br /> Salary: $135,000 to $145,000 + bonus incentive<br /> Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, 401k with match, CME credit, 5 weeks PTO, 8 paid holidays, malpractice </p> <p>Responsibilities:<br /> 1st assist during surgeries at the local hospital<br /> Pre-operative and post operative care in our outpatient clinic<br /> Involved in daily rounding on patients<br /> Suturing wounds and providing wound care management<br /> Prescribing medication when appropriate<br /> Documenting notes accordingly<br /> Giving injections<br /> Advising patients on injury/illness status and best course of treatment<br /> Reading lab work and medical exams<br /> Ordering diagnostic tests </p> <p>Requirements:<br /> Board Certification as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner<br /> Graduate of accredited PA or NP school program<br /> We will see new graduates!<br /> DEA license<br /> NPI number<br /> New York PA or NP license</p> <p>For further consideration, send resume or email to Alexg@smitharnold.com VP of recruitment or call 914-774-8202</p>
