About the Role
We are currently seeking a Humanities Supply Teacher to join a secondary school in Heywood from May through to July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a supportive school environment and make an immediate impact during the summer term.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (History, Geography, and/or RE)
Plan, prepare, and assess student work where required
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Follow school policies on behaviour management and safeguarding
Provide continuity of learning during staff absence
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff
Flexible, reliable, and adaptable approach
This position is perfect for experienced teachers looking for short-term work, ECTs seeking to build experience, or educators wanting flexibility while continuing to teach their specialist subject.
