This role offers the opportunity to work within a Level II trauma center environment, managing a full spectrum of emergency presentations with a dedicated team and robust support infrastructure.

Schedule Details

• Shifts: Day, Swing, Night (shift times vary based on volume; specific times communicated during shift confirmation)

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of adult patients
• Management of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Collaboration with physicians, nursing, and ancillary teams
• Orders, documentation, and patient disposition within Meditech EMR
• Participation in procedures as per clinical scope and hospital protocols

Practice Environment
This opportunity is based within an established acute care hospital emergency department in Frederick, Maryland. The department supports approximately 60,000 annual ED visits, with 24/7 radiology and bedside ultrasound capabilities. Providers will work under physician supervision, managing a broad range of emergency cases in a high-volume setting.

Requirements

• Active Maryland license
• Certification: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, BLS
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP not accepted)
• BC or BE in Emergency Medicine within 5 years of residency completion
• APP with recent emergency medicine experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
