<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Shop Helper</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The primary responsibility of this role is to pack, prepare orders for shipment, and load them onto semis and flatbeds. Forklift operation will be required for approximately 15-20% of the time. Additionally, when not engaged in shipping or receiving tasks, you will assist with assembling or blasting attachments for forklifts, skid steers, and telehandlers. The role also involves using a tape measure to read measurements down to 1/16", using a computer to pull paperwork for shipping, and pulling stock from shelving. You must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Pack and prepare orders for shipment.</li><li>Load shipments onto semis and flatbeds.</li><li>Operate forklifts (15-20% of the time).</li><li>Assist with assembling or blasting attachments for forklifts, skid steers, and telehandlers.</li><li>Use tape measure for precise measurements.</li><li>Utilize computer systems to manage shipping paperwork.</li><li>Pull stock from shelving.</li><li>Collaborate with Production Manager to prioritize tasks.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Proficiency with hand and power tools.</li><li>Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.</li><li>Ability to read and understand blueprints.</li><li>Forklift operation experience.</li><li>General labor skills.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience with awkward-shaped loading is helpful.</li><li>Flexibility to assist across various shop duties, including blasting, assembly, and material handling.</li><li>Training on forklift operation will be provided.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>Experience a close-knit, small-town atmosphere within the shop. Standard working hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM or possibly 8 AM to 5 PM.
