Local Check Point Engineer with VSX

Job Title: Cisco Security Engineer Job Description The South Carolina Judicial Branch (SCJB) seeks an experienced engineer that both deploys and administers Check Point security gateways, including VSX. They should have extensive experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Check Point firewalls within a complex enterprise environment. This person will be responsible for administering and simplifying the CheckPoint rulebase, while optimizing its utilization to meet business requirements, and improve visibility while ensuring security best practices are followed. The Check Point Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing policies to support enterprise security strategies. They must be able to serve as a subject matter expert on Cisco data center network technologies and their interaction with Check Point security gateways. This role requires collaboration with Security, IT, and business stakeholders to test and validate security protections, including IPS, geoblocking, and QoS in addition to day-to-day firewall administration.
