<strong>Title:</strong> FLT Warehouse Operative<br><br> <strong>Location:</strong> Leigh (WN7 3XB)<br><br> <strong>Salary: </strong>£12.88 (Days), £14.49 (Afternoons), £14.89 (Nights)<br><br> <strong>Shifts: </strong> Monday- Friday (Days) 6am- 8am start, (Afternoon) 1pm- 3pm start, (Nights) 10pm- 2am start. All shifts are 9 hours.<br><br> <strong>Contract Type:</strong> Temp- perm<br><br> <br><br> <br><br> Our client is the world’s largest pure-play contract logistics provider. They operate as the supply chain backbone for major global brands, managing everything from advanced warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment to reverse logistics, freight transportation, and last-mile delivery.<br><br> <br><br> You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods within a busy logistics environment. The role involves operating counterbalance forklifts, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.<br><br> <br><br> <br><br> <strong>As an FLT Warehouse Operative your duties will be: -</strong><br><br> <br><br><ul><li>Safely operate FLT equipment (counterbalance) to load, unload, move, and stack goods.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Load and unload vehicles following safe working practices.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and manual‑handling guidelines.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Work closely with supervisors, drivers, and colleagues to meet operational targets.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Prepare orders using handheld scanners.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Maintain clean, safe, and well‑organised storage areas.</li></ul><br><br> <br><br> <br><br> <strong>The successful FLT Warehouse Operative</strong><strong> will have the following skills: - </strong><br><br> <br><br><ul><li>Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, or equivalent).</li></ul><br><ul><li>Warehouse Experience in a logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Manual Handling capability and understanding of safe lifting techniques.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Use of Scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).</li></ul><br><ul><li>Communication Skills for working effectively within a team.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Experience working within a fast‑paced logistics environment.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Reliable with a strong work ethic.</li></ul><br><br> <br><br> <br><br> <strong>Additional Information</strong><br><br> <br><br><ul><li>This role will be 60/70% FLT work.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Drug and alcohol tests will be conducted at random.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Canteen on site.</li></ul><br><ul><li>Free tea and coffee.</li></ul><br><ul><li>1 hour lunch break (unpaid).</li></ul>
