The Role
The selected candidate will operate critical equipment and systems, which provide production trades plant services, such as low and high pressure steam, low & high pressure compressed air, river water, and demineralized water. The person must be a team player, highly motivated andwork with minimal supervision.
This position requires working a rotating shift including holidays and weekends.
Must Have
The individual must hold a valid Driver's License, have the ability to read and interpret basic blue prints and technical specification and/or equipment operating manuals. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge of plant operations, computers, electrical, pipefitting, and troubleshooting control systems are a plus.
High school graduate is preferred. Previous military experience with boiler operations and associated systems along with experience in plant operations involving air compressors or water pumping system is a plus, but not required
Experience with maintenance and repair of steam operating 600 psi and above marine type boilers is preferred.
A solid understanding of a basic steam cycle, water chemistry, automated boiler control systems, burner management systems, pumps, boiler auxiliary systems, compressors and generation of demineralized water is a definite plus
