About the Role

Resource Base Teacher (Secondary School)

Stockwell, South London
Full-Time | September 2026 Start (or sooner)
MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Stockwell that is looking to appoint a dedicated Resource Base Teacher to join their SEND team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to make a real difference to the lives of young people with additional needs, supporting their academic progress, personal development, and successful inclusion within the wider school community.

The Role

As a Resource Base Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Support students with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs.
  • Develop and review EHCP outcomes, personalised learning plans, and interventions.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to ensure positive outcomes for all learners.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
  • Contribute to reviews, meetings, and wider school SEND initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience supporting or teaching students with SEND.
  • Has a good understanding of EHCPs and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Can build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every student succeed.

SEND qualifications, specialist training, or previous experience in a Resource Base or specialist provision are desirable but not essential.
