History Teacher - Banbury

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced History Teacher to work with one of our partner secondary schools, full-time in the Banbury area, starting from September 2026. This role will be on a long-term basis, expecting to last for the full academic year.

The school have outstanding pastoral care while offering a broad curriculum and sixth form. The school have graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

• To teach History across both KS3 & KS4, including full classroom responsibilities
• Manage classroom behaviour, following the schools behaviour policy
• Work with a mixture of abilities, including students with SEN
• Report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching History to GCSE level
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Two references we are able to apply for, desirably from an educational setting
