Royal Borough of Greenwich ? £34.09 per hour ? Full-Time | Locum The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker / Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Older Adult Service in Greenwich. This is a dynamic role working with individuals presenting with complex mental health needs, requiring robust statutory knowledge and confident risk management skills. You will manage a caseload of older adults with enduring and acute mental health conditions, delivering integrated health and social care interventions within a multidisciplinary framework. Key Responsibilities Manage a complex caseload within the Older Adult Mental Health Service Undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews Commission and monitor care packages in line with assessed needs Lead and coordinate safeguarding investigations in accordance with statutory guidance Monitor mental state, relapse indicators, and recovery progress Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and wider MDT partners Participate in the Central AMHP Team rota, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and coordinating interventions under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007) Ensure practice aligns with the Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, and relevant safeguarding legislation Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration AMHP qualification and current warrant Significant experience within Older Adult Mental Health Strong working knowledge of: Mental Health Act Care Act Mental Capacity Act Safeguarding frameworks Experience managing high-risk and complex cases Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to Richie Johnson at or call on 01756556845 Benefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include: * DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown Synergy * Referral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to us * Bonus for finding your own job * Twice weekly payroll * Dedicated recruitment consultant who will support you throughout your job search, employment and beyond Refer someone who might be interested in & get £300 referral bonus !!
