Drivers Mate Temporary to Permanent Bury St Edmunds Monday to Friday, 5:00am start – finish (dependent on deliveries) Pay: £13.05 - £13.44 per hour + overtime available We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established company based in Bury St Edmunds who are looking to expand their delivery support team. As a Drivers Mate, you will work alongside a driver assisting with the delivery and distribution of goods to various customer locations. This is a physically demanding role requiring manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the day. What you'll be doing: Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Manual handling of heavy goods during multi-drop deliveries Supporting the driver in completing daily delivery routes Checking goods upon delivery to ensure accuracy and quality Providing a professional and helpful service to customers Following all health & safety procedures and company guidelines Working as part of a team to meet daily delivery targets Requirements: Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting Comfortable with early starts (5:00am) Good communication and team-working skills Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Weekly pay (rate depending on experience) Opportunity for a permanent position Overtime available at time and a half If you’re looking to secure a long-term, stable position, apply now to Meghan at Select Recruitment to avoid missing out.
