Home News Employers and students meet at Spring Part-time Jobs Fair Employers and students meet at Spring Part-time Jobs Fair 27 March 2025 Intro More than 400 students and graduates attended a Spring Part-time Jobs Fair in UWL’s Weston Hall at St Mary’s Road recently. Main body Sixteen guest employers representing a variety of companies were at the fair to network with students and graduates and share employment opportunities. UWL’s Careers team and Talent Bank were also present to advise and support students in finding part-time work. Representatives from Fuller, Smith and Turner shared: We're hiring for part-time positions in pubs so bar staff, waiting staff, events staff, and kitchen roles. Entry level is perfect. We welcome anyone to apply. You have got to pull your first pint some time!" Mad Science were at the fair looking for part-time instructors for their science enrichment programmes for primary aged children. They explained: We run after school clubs, birthday parties, holiday camps, science days and workshops and corporate events. We provide all the training, so no experience is required, just energy and enthusiasm." Someone from early years consultancy agency Quint Education explained: We have over 50 part-time and permanent vacancies suitable for education students and graduates. We’re looking for nursery assistants, SEN teaching assistants, primary school teachers, and play workers.” Music education company Sing Education were seeking both freelance and permanent music teachers to go into primary schools. They explained: We would take you on and train you up. It’s a great way of using your music skills and building a portfolio career so you can work part time while continuing your studies, making music and performing." BSc Computer Science student Esa commented: I’ve found this fair so helpful. I’ve discovered more about lots of different types of part time employment and I’m going to be following up lots of them.”   UWL students can learn about thousands of job opportunities, including part-time, internship, placements, and graduate roles on the Student Hub.
