As a Children's Social Worker within the Children & Families Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and relevant professionals.
Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, promoting positive outcomes.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with partners to safeguard children.
Ensuring compliance with legislation and local policies regarding child welfare.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Care Wales.
Proven experience in children’s social work, preferably within a local authority setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
