This team will include a wide range of engineering talent from analog to SOC digital design. Full product development local will product world class products at a world class pace. This team will include all key engineering disciplines in Design, Architecture, Verification, DfT and Physical Design to produce high performance and quality products. This role is a technical leader for projects and methodology/flow improvements for the IIOT MCU engineering team. The role will have priority on leading SOC verification on specific projects with priority of projects lead by the Catania MCU SOC team. This project leadership role will include leading a project team to delivery core SOC verification but also will include collaboration across domains including DMS (Mixed Signal), software and validation efforts to ensure full coverage of the product prior to tape out. The role includes hands-on technical work as part of leading projects or Initiatives. Second component to this role will be owning and driving long term Initiatives that will target improving methodology, flows and alike to improve overall quality and support our drive to A0 production. We are now hiring a Sr Principal SoC Verification Lead for projects and methodology/flow improvements for the IIOT MCU engineering team. Job Responsibility: Technical verification lead and owner for specific MCU SOC products. Ensure quality tape out by leading the project team to create robust, trackable plans and to execute on time to these plans. Owner of a project’s Verification Plan including full traceability of plan to requirements. Align Plans across multiple domains including AMS/DMS, SW and Validation. Enable these domains in a simulation environment and utilize each domain results to see entire quality level of the product. Responsible for ensuring that verification metrics are in place to quantify verification quality at any point during project execution. This will include interpretation of metrics and action plans. Apply best known methodology to specific verification problems. Identify and drive specific verification Initiatives across global MCU SOC teams. These Initiatives could include one more areas: Methodology, Tools, Flows or training. Job Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Deep technical expert in industry leading verification methodologies and tools. Experience in a technical project leadership role including defining scope, planning, staffing and driving project. Experience in owning verification for a product. Expert knowledge and at least 10 years of experience in leading verification for SOC products. Must include projects that have gone to high volume production. Expert in defining and putting verification environments and test benches in place. Experience in achieving A0 – single revision silicon to production. Ability to work in a multi‑site, multi‑time‑zone environment. Required experience using System Verilog and UVM. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior engineers. Desired to have candidate with experience in verification of hardware using driver/firmware software. Commitment At NXP.
