About the Role

Job Description: TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening in its Wellford, SC office for an Operator III (Sorter Operator) who will be responsible for working with Operations Leadership to understand, manage, and balance the conveyor flow out of the picking module. Sorter Operator teammates perform an array of functions to support the overall workflow which include resolving issues impacting sorter performance and committing to TTI safety culture. Primary Responsibilities: Direct and monitor sorter, conveyor, and merge controls to enable efficient and effective carton flow through the diverter system. Resolve promptly all issues with cartons rejected after passing the sorter. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment. Support researching escalated carton rejects to identify route cause, review quality concerns with label quality or placement, and routing cartons. Perform prescribed equipment maintenance and report all other maintenance needs. Responsible for physically clearing jams that are accessible without AWP (Arial work platforms.) Ability to identify and escalate problem areas to Maintenance Support for system repairs, hardware adjustments, and jams that require an AWP. Actively seeks and recommends opportunities for continued improvement in warehouse operations and standards. Use various systems such as WCS, SAP, PLC history data, and others as needed in order to: research carton issues, Lane Full conditions, route verification, and provide daily statistics. Provide feedback, guidance, and recommendations to leadership via verbal and written communication methods to minimize bottlenecks and improve carton flow efficiency and level staffing. Helps maintain and build a strong team that emphasizes teamwork among the leaders and drives strong communication among peers. Be aware of, and comply with, all safety policies and participate in safety initiatives. Be aware of and comply with all security policies. Complete other tasks assigned by the manager. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency A minimum of 2 years in a maintenance-related field One or more years of related experience. PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Knowledge of Warehouse Control Systems and SAP resource planning software Knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Physical Demands Standing for extended periods. Prolonged periods of working on a computer and/or RF device Repetitive motion. Frequent required to climb or balance, bending, stooping, kneel/crouch, pushing, and pulling of material. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs – team lifts over 50 lbs. Able to work in various temperature conditions.
