About the Role

<p>Frewen College is an independent, co educational day and boarding school specialising in dyslexia and co occurring Specific Learning Difficulties. We are seeking a <b>skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist</b> to join our Learning Support team from <b>September 2026</b>.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly specialist setting, supporting young people from <b>Year 7 to Sixth Form</b> to develop the speech, language and communication skills they need to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.</p> <p><b>The Role</b></p> <p>As Speech and Language Therapist, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Assess and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with dyslexia and co occurring speech, language and communication needs.</li> <li>Support the development of phonological awareness, expressive and receptive language, language processing and literacy related language skills.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with Teachers, boarding staff, parents and external professionals to provide integrated, evidence based support.</li> <li>Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews and specialist reports.</li> <li>Deliver elements of the school&rsquo;s <b>study skills programme</b>, including whole class sessions.</li> <li>Provide specialist advice as part of the admissions process.</li> <li>Undertake outreach, advisory work and training as part of the school&rsquo;s traded portfolio.</li> <li>Play a full and active part in the wider life of a thriving independent boarding school.</li> </ul> <p><b>About You</b></p> <p>You will be:</p> <ul> <li>A <b>qualified Speech and Language Therapist</b>, registered with the <b>HCPC.</b></li> <li>Experienced in supporting children and young people with <b>dyslexia and associated SpLDs.</b></li> <li>Confident working within a school and multidisciplinary team.</li> <li>An excellent communicator, organised, flexible and solution focused.</li> <li>Committed to inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding.</li> <li>Experience of advisory work, training delivery or working across multiple settings would be welcomed.</li> </ul> <p><b>Hours and Conditions:</b></p> <ul> <li><b>Term Time:</b> Monday &#8211; Friday, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8:30am &#8211; 4:30pm)</li> <li><b>Outside Term Time:</b> 11 days per year, including INSET</li> <li>Flexibility around hours and location may be required to support outreach services</li> </ul>
